There are two ways to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11:
- Using Windows Update:
- Make sure that your computer is running Windows 10, version 2004 or later.
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on “Update & Security”.
- Click on “Windows Update”.
- Click on the “Check for updates” button.
- If there is an update for Windows 11 available, it will be listed under “Available updates”.
- Click on the “Download and install” button to start the upgrade process.
- Using the Media Creation Tool:
- Download the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website.
- Run the Media Creation Tool.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create a bootable USB drive or DVD with the Windows 11 installation files.
- Boot your computer from the USB drive or DVD.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to start the upgrade process.
Here are some things to keep in mind when upgrading to Windows 11:
- Your computer must meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. You can check the compatibility of your computer using the PC Health Check app.
- You should back up your data before upgrading to Windows 11. This is in case something goes wrong during the upgrade process.
- You may need to reinstall some of your software after upgrading to Windows 11.
- Some features and apps may not be available in Windows 11 if your computer does not meet the minimum hardware requirements.
