Google Photos offers two ways to backup your photos and videos:
- Automatic backup: This is the default setting and it will automatically backup all of your photos and videos to Google Photos as soon as they are taken or added to your device.
- Manual backup: This allows you to choose specific photos and videos to backup to Google Photos.
You can backup your photos and videos to Google Photos from both your computer and mobile device.
To backup your photos and videos from your computer:
- Download and install the Google Photos Backup & Sync app on your computer.
- Sign in to the app using your Google Account.
- Select the folders you want to backup to Google Photos.
- Click on the “Start” button.
To backup your photos and videos from your mobile device:
- Open the Google Photos app on your mobile device.
- Sign in to the app using your Google Account.
- Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap on “Settings”.
- Tap on “Back up & sync”.
- Make sure that the “Back up photos & videos” switch is turned on.
- Select the folders you want to backup to Google Photos.
- Tap on the “Back up” button.
Once your photos and videos have been backed up to Google Photos, they will be stored in the cloud and you can access them from any device. You can also share them with others or download them to your device.
Here are some additional tips for backing up your photos and videos to Google Photos:
- Make sure that you have enough storage space in your Google Account to backup all of your photos and videos.
- If you are backing up a large number of photos and videos, it may take some time for the backup process to complete.
- You can also use the Google Photos app to free up space on your device by deleting photos and videos that have already been backed up to Google Photos.
- If you are concerned about the privacy of your photos and videos, you can encrypt them before you backup them to Google Photos.
